I purchased a futon the other day and was told it would be rolled up when I went to pick it up the next week. Since I live a 5 min. walk from the store I walked over with a dolly figuring I could just use the dolly to take it home. Turns out the futon wasn’t rolled but was folded in half so it didn’t fit on the dolly.
My friend and I were discussing how we could roll it, tape it and then use the dolly when a man, who sold mattresses to the store, said he’d drive it to my place. He didn’t even work for the store! It was such a sweet thing to do.
I could have said ‘no’ and figured out how to roll it etc. and done it myself but it was so sweet of him to offer so I accepted. I think men are just looking for opportunities to help us out, if we let them.
Sue
I think you are right about that, Sue. I’ve noticed that if one of my guy friends loans me a movie or a book, but I don’t get around to watching it yet, they seem a little disappointed. Men like to loan things and share ideas.
